One Education One World Slum School
Introduction of OEOW Slum School
OEOW Slum School project in the slums of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is a non-profit initiative that provides free education to underprivileged children. The project is dedicated to improving the lives of children who live in poverty and do not have access to basic educational resources. Here's a closer look at the background, activities, and impact of this volunteer project;

Background
The volunteer project was started by the founder Nogol Andishehjoo, the founder of One Education One World during the India project visit, who saw the need for education in the slums of Jaipur. She recognized that children in these areas were not getting the education they needed to break the cycle of poverty. The project was launched with the goal of providing free education, uniforms, books, bags, and stationery to children living in the slums.

The project provides education to 120 children from the ages of 4 to 14 years old. The curriculum focuses on basic literacy and numeracy skills, as well as life skills such as hygiene and teamwork with a holistic approach toward the learning and development of a child. The children are taught by local teachers who work closely with the project organizers to create a fun and engaging learning environment. In addition to education, the project also provides the children with uniforms, books, bags, and stationery so that they can attend school with pride and dignity.
